Q: 1984 ford bronco II over heating…I replaced the water pump and thermostat also had radiator cooked out?
I can remove the upper hose and there is no water in the block
No leaks and everything has been replaced

A: No liquid ? leak !
If you fill the radiator, and the coolant is gone, then logic would tell us you have a leak.
It might be a bad radiator cap, not holding pressure and the coolant is leaking past to the over flow bottle, head gasket leak, heater core leak, or one of the hoses.
Put a pressure test on the radiator and it should show where the leak is.
A stuck thermostat wil cause over heating, as will a intake manifold gasket resulting in the engine runnng too lean.

im looking to give my bronco2 more power but i dont want to change the motor and i cant find any turbo kits or superchargers i just need something that will give it a lil bit more noticable power

A: get a bottle of Nitrous and 50 hp kit.. don’t forget to get better gears for the rear to compensate for larger tires, they make it feel like it has more power.. 4.11 should do it..

Q: Where can I get a repair manual for a 1984 full size Ford Bronco?
I need a good repair manual for my bronco (not bronco II). I have the Haynes repair manual but its not specific enough. I believe that there is a more specific one out there somewhere, but I don’t know where to find it. I have a few questions about things that my current book doesn’t cover. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

A: From a trash can, because no one would ever want to even have anything around to show they used own something that hidious.

Q: i have a small hole in the rear axle cover assemblyof my 1984 Ford Bronco 2. What could have caused it?
a rough jagged hole that looks like something from inside went through it

A: If it is a hole in the rear cover if a 84 there is a good chance it is just rusted out. As long as it isn’t making noise from the rear end, just replace the cover and refill with gear oil.

A: any of the 5.0 engines will fit. The pan , exhaust, intake setup will need to be looked at ion your truck. Those are easy to deal with. get a kit for your conversion and it will go easier.

Q: Is $2400 too much to pay for a 1984 Ford Bronco full size?
Its runs great, has tons of new parts including: valve cover, gaskets, spark plugs, wires, distributer cap and coils, blower for the heat, belts, trans fluid, steering column, front and rear brakes, 31″ tires, catalic converters and cherry bombs, and both engine and trans have been rebuilt with only 57k miles on them. No rust on the body.
the gas is not a big deal, its going to be used as a secondary vehicle, probably only going 4 miles a day, but i wanted a truck or SUV for the second car, currently we have a 2001 grand prix. i don’t know alot about trucks, but it sounded like a good deal.

A: LR, you idiot.

Q: What kind of fuel economy should I get on a 1984 ford full size bronco 4×4 auto 351 “on propane”?

A: around 2 or 3 mpg less than on gas

Q: 1984 ford ranger 4 cylinder engine swap with 1986 ford bronco 2 v6?
i need to know if it will work
i have transmission and wiring i just need to know if the engine will bolt to my tansmission

A: It should be straightfoward swap. You may need an adaptor for the transmission though. The Bronco 2 will have an A4LD and the Ranger should have a C3 or C5.

Q: how to replace a clutch on an ‘84 Ford Bronco???
I have a 1984 Ford Bronco II, took it for its first drive in 2-3 years, (after checking everything out of course), it runs fine but after awhile it gets this rubber burning smell, Im thinking its either the radiator or the clutch. If it turns out to be the clutch, how much would it take to replace the clutch and where do I go to do that? Again, my truck is a 1984 Ford Bronco II.

A: The clutch would smell more like when you leave your emergency brakes on.
The rubber smell does sound more like radiator coolant. The car has had it sitting and it is just flat out nasty.

I would first do a flush and refill of the coolant before worrying about the clutch,
The clutch won’t go bad like radiator fluid will.
Oh ya be sure to change the Transmission fluid and engine oil. it is definitely bad. Check the tranny fluid as later models use ATF instead of moly lube or Hypo oil. Change the fluid in the differential too. It may seem OK now but trust me the oil is old and stale, it needs to be changed. You will pay later..

Q: will 1984 ford f150 doors fit on my 1990 ford full size bronco?

A: No go. New generation style in late ‘87. Might be able to bolt them on but they won’t clear the fender and I think the window frames are more rounded on top front. Pre ‘88 had a more squared style, and numerous other differences.
