Q: 1991 Ford Bronco cruise control?
I recently purchased a 1991 Ford Bronco (full size) with the 351 engine. The previous owner removed the cruise control and factory steering wheel and installed an aftermarket steering wheel. He gave me the factory wheel and cruise control module with the vehicle. I’d like to re-install the cruise control, but I am not sure how the vacuum source connects to the module. The module itself mounts on the inside fender near the brake vacuum booster, and there is a cable that connects to the throttle body, but what do I use as a vacuum source? Does it somehow connect to the vacuum line for the brake booster? I have a Haynes manual, but it doesn’t have any useful information about the cruise control. I’m hoping somebody might have a similar vehicle and can tell me how their’s is connected. I’d really appreciate it. Thanks!
A: Should just connect to manifold vacuum (NOT THE BRAKE BOOSTER LINE) – it uses this vacuum to actuate the cruise. Look for a plugged/blocked connection on the intake manifold. Also give a quick call to your local Ford service department and ask the service manager if he can help with a xerox of the shop manual.
Q: How do you remove the brake calipers on 1991 ford bronco?
Ultimatetly I am attempting to change the brake pads, and am having trouble figuring out how to get the calipers off?
A: There is a metal retainer that holds the caliper in, a hammer and punch and it will come out. It has been a while since I did one, but I think there is a bolt that retains the strip

A: try the cash for clunkers program. get a nice new explorer sport trac
Q: How difficult is it to install headers on a 1991 Ford Bronco?
A: Incredibly easy compared to most cars. The engine bay is cavernous and there’s plenty of room to work underneath it.
Q: How do I replace the left front turn signal lens on a 1991 Ford Bronco?
A: just the lens is not replaceable, you have to replace the whole light assembly. It unbolts from the inside of the header panel, very awkward to get at.
Q: What type of transmission fluid should I put in my 1991 Ford Bronco?
A: i would probably recommend the manufacture’s preference…….usually for a ford, any brand of Type F transmission fluid.
Q: I have a 1991 ford bronco 4wd, internal problems inside steering column, it is locked in park, what could it be
I turned it on the on postion, the i started it and then heard a snap so i bypased it thru the cylinoid, and it started then went to put in drive and gear shidft is locked in the park postition.
A: there is a disc with slots in it that the gear selector locks into, what has happened is that the lever mechanism has broke and is not disengaging the gear selector. you’ll need to remove the column housing and the bracket holding the column…….once this is done sit in the seat under the steering wheel and actuate the gear shift…….you will see the problem immediatly. this is a common problem for this year, all the way to 96 model.
the part costs about 35 bucks.

Q: I want to buy a cold air intake or headers for my 1991 Ford Bronco, but I can’t decide which one should I get?
Eventually I’m going to have both but which should I get first?
A: Cold air intakes
quite honestly cold air intakes don’t do a thing until you are at the top of your engines power band so you are throwing your money in the trash, however, a cheaper way to go and not throw your money away and get the same affect and not change a thing from stock is a K&N filter, also summit racing have off brand k&ns. you can get one name brand for like 50 bucks and do the same as a cold air intake for normal driving. but you wont see a huge improvement with either unless you are running 100mph or more all the time
Q: 1991 Ford Bronco XLT 4×4 windshied washer repair?
Any advice on repairing the windshield washer? I replaced the washer pump, checked the hoses and nozzles for obstructions, checked the fuse, and can’t find any reason it shouldn’t be working. Is there anything I missed checking? And yes the reservoir is full of fluid.
A: Suggest checking a service manual wiring diagram. I remember some ford products useing a waher module under the dash. Even if its not that, with a wiring diagram of the washer circuit, you can now trace the wiring to see if you have any opens.
Q: what do i need to put a 351 from a 1989 ford bronco in a 1991 ford bronco that had a 351 in it ?

I live in nj , it looks like the intake is different on the 1991 have wholr truck from 1989 and 1991 missing motor and trans only can it be done?
A: The engines are largely identical, It should be easy swap. As a matter of fact, I don’t recall any differences in the engine at all from 1987-1991.
Q: 1991 Ford Bronco 5.8L / 351W engine runs GREAT with the MAP Sensor unplugged?
My truck runs FANTASTIC when the MAP sensor is unplugged. The second I make that electrical connection, the engine bogs to a rough idle and hesitates. What “feedback” is the MAP providing to the computer that’s causing this to happen? I have my own thoughts on this conundrum… Still, I don’t want to push anyone in that same direction without hearing YOUR immediate thoughts and ideas. Any suggestions or solutions would be greatly appreciated.
A: the map sensor measures air pressure. The engines computer reads this at start up and updates the fuel ratio map. When it is unplugged it uses a default number. The map sensor, o2 sensor or both maybe bad.
