Q: how to convince my dad to buy his old 1987 ford bronco 2 back?
I really want my dad to sell his ford expedition and get his old bronco 2 that we found in a junkyard behind a tire shop. I know he would love to have it, I just don’t know why he doesn’t want it. Please tell me how I can convince him?
A: His Expedition is 100 times the truck that Bronco II was.
Bronco II’s had head gasket and engine problems.
Q: What is the stock tire size for a 1987 ford bronco 2?
I don’t know if its 205/75r15 or its 235/75r15. It doesn’t really say on the tire itself so if you can tell me the actual size that would be great thanks.
A: The Bronco II as with all mini trucks actually factory sized tires were P185-75R-14`s btw the tire size is on the sidewall and also stamped into the steel rim plus it should be listed in your owners manual or on the drivers side door post sticker or the glove box door and often on the sun visor too
Q: Rough idle condition on a 1987 Ford Bronco II?
Ive got a rough idle, almost like a miss, and ive replaced nearly every sensor, plugs, wires, cap , rotor, ign coil, and the distributor, and the ECM. All of these I replaced for another driveability problem that is fixed now, but I still have the rough idle problem that feels like a miss but isnt. I already pulled plugs at the cap to check for RPM change and there is for every cylinder, indicating no misfire. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
A: Have you pulled the codes from the computer? Might be some hints there.
Q: how do i change the turn signal switch in a 1987 Ford Bronco II?
i think i have an idea, but would like a step by step.
A: this pretty easy. first grab the turn signal arm, push and and pull rapidly to remove. pull off the column covers. you will see the turn signal switch bolt to the column with two screws. undue these and unplug wires. then re-install. simple
Q: How do you change a ABS sensor on a 1987 Ford Bronco?
I am having problems with the Rear anti lock break light coming on, on my dash, I was told that changeing the ABS sensor would fix that. Where and how do I replace that part.
A: If it isn’t on the rear end, you will see 2 wires going to it, then it is on the transmission tail shaft housing.
Q: i have a 1987 ford bronco & i need to get another motor for it i found one out of an 85 bronco?
my bronco had a 302 in it & the 85 has a 302 i was just wondering if it would fit also the OD transmission out of it.
A: yes, No problem as long as both are either 2 or both 4 wheel drive. If different you will swap oil pans.
Q: Can anyone give me a detailed illustration of the wiring for a 1987 ford bronco 2 starter please?
I need a lay out of the wiring for the whole bronco 2 ( II )
A: You will have better luck just going to your local library and getting it there……
Q: where do i put oil in a 1987 ford bronco?
found the dipstick; can’t find where to pour the oil in.
A: in the main engine!!!!!
Q: 1987 Ford Bronco II 2.9 Liter V6 overheats?
I have a 1987 Ford Bronco II 2.9 Liter that had 100,000 mile on it. The Truck runs hot and sometimes over heats. I have flushed the Radiator, changed thermostat from 195 degree to 180 degree not much help. How can I tell if it is head gasket, water pump or radiator.
It is not using water and the motor runs fine dose not miss. I am having a hard time determining if water is flowing inside the radiator. Is it possible I could have a bad guage.
A: Check your fan clutch first. with engine off, spin the fan with gentle pressure. the blade should move no more than a quarter ways. if it moves freely with no resistance, there’s probably your problem. if it doesn’t rotate at all, fan clutch is bad also. if head gasket is bad, you will see water on the oil dipstick and oil floating in the radiator.
With engine on and running, get engine hot. turn engine off and feel around radiator. you’re looking for cold spots. any cold spot is potentially a plug in the core.
your water pump will squeal if it’s going out, OR it’ll start dripping from the bottom portion, which means the seals are giving out. I doubt its any of these. My vote is for the fan clutch.
Q: where is the vin plate on my 1987 ford bronco?
i need to make a vin scratch for the dmv for my bronco 1987. i cant find a vin plate anywhere on the thing. there is one on the window and one on the door jam but neither of those can be traced. any help with the location of another one would be much appreciated
A: it should be on the dash, you can see it through the windshield on the drivers side,if its not there or on the door jam try looking on the underneath of the hood or firewall for a sticker or tag, hope that helps.
Q: can i put in a 302 in 1987 ford bronco II?
My bronco II has a 2.9l v6, can I change this and put a 302 in it without changing the tranny? V6 is dead so need other options
So will I have to use a new tranny or can I use the existing one from the V6
A: I’ve seen this conversion in mags, but I can’t tell you about the tranny, My thinking is a V-6 tranny might not hold up.
Q: How many gallons of gas does a 1987 ford bronco 2 hold in a tank?
A: About 32 Gallons or 125 Liters.
I hope this helps..

Q: 1987 ford bronco engine?
i have an engine in my 1987 ford bronco and i dont think it belongs there… is there a website i can go to to search the engine identification number?
ok let me re word my problem… i have a 1987 ford bronco, i know the engine is a 302, but i dont think it belongs there, i have found hoses plug with bolt and many issues on it running, is there a way to run the enine number to figure out there year and what it actually belongs in?
A: From the factory it had either the 300 CI straight 6, the 302 V8, or the 351W V8. What engine is currently in your Bronco?
Q: What is the idle speed on a 1987 Ford Bronco with a 351? and how do I adjust it?
A: If it is a carb the idle should be between 600-800 there is a screw on the front of the carb that the throttle linkage hits up against. if it is EFI then you MUST let the computer control it there is no adjusting it, if your idle seems to high or to low then your idle air control valve is not working properly.
