Q: What motor oil type should be used for ‘95 Ford Bronco 5.8L engine?
I usually add 10/40 when the oil gets low but just had an oil change and they shop used 10/30. Will that be a problem?
A: From the Manual:
For vehicles with 5.8L engines
Engine oils with an SAE 5W-30 viscosity are
PREFERRED for your vehicle. They provide the
best engine performance, fuel economy and
engine protection for all climates down to -15°F
(-25°C).
For vehicles with 5.0L engines
Engine oils with an SAE 10W-30 viscosity are
PREFERRED for your vehicle which provide the
best engine protection for all climates down to
-5°F (-20°C). SAE 5W-30 engine oils may also be
used down to -15°F (-25°C).
10/30 won’t be a problem if you’re not in cold country.
Q: What type of oil is used for 92 Ford Bronco Rear Differential?

Q: Buying Used Ford Broncos?
Im looking to buy a used 93 Ford Bronco. The one Im looking at runs perfectly. What are common things that can be wrong with an engine even if it drives and sounds perfectly normal?
A: I guess you should also check insurance quotes for Bronco before buying one, for example here: http://carinsurance.enacre.net
As I remember it is expensive to insure.
Q: where can i buy a used transmission for a 1989 ford bronco II??
A: craigs list or u-pull it, make sure the tranny works before u buy it, I made that mistake once.
Q: why dose the ford bronco use a fuel pressure reg on fuel injection?
A: All fuel injected vehicles use a pressure regulator to keep the fuel in the fuel rail at a constant pressure so that when the injectors open they deliver a consistent amount of fuel depending only upon injector open time. The high pressure pump supplies fuel at a slightly higher pressure and volume than the injectors will need to the regulator which then controls dumping excess fuel back to the fuel tank but insuring that there will always be sufficient fuel at correct pressure in the rail at all times.
Q: What are the float adjustments for a 1981 Ford Bronco (straight 6) carburetor?
My husband is out working on our Bronco and the float has come out of adjustment, the Bronco will not idle at stoplights. He used to have a piece of paper with the information on it, but it got lost when we moved last month. Does anybody have the specs on where a carburetor for a 1981 Ford Bronco should be?
It’s a one barrel.
300 cubic inch engine.
A: Since you have to open it up to adjust the float, get a carb rebuild kit. The kit will have the gauge for the float in it.
Q: where can i find a lower end block of a ford 302 for a 95 bronco..fairly new and fairly cheap?
i want to take the upper half of a 302 from a 1995 ford bronco and use that on top of a newer lower end block
A: Check your yellow pages or your local Ad Papers like a Recycler.
Q: Can anyone tell me if the 91 Ford Bronco uses R-12, or R-134a?
A: a 91 Bronco should use R-12 system if not retrofitted (never re-done since 1994.) If you need to retrofit your vehicle you should take it in and have one that’s MHVAC certified (due to EPA regulation) evacuate the system, and refit. The refrigerant handling of R-12 required EPA certification, and faliure to comply can result in fines upwards of 50,000$. Once the system is retrofit, you can either charge the R-134a yourself, or after having retrofit compleated, most MHVAC tech’s don’t actually charge for anything other than the refrigerant it’self to charge the system. You can’t just “top off” an R-12 system with R-134 either, due to EPA regulation and variance in chemical composition of the refrigerant. If you just need to recharge R-12, it is extreamly expensive and can only be purchased by Universal certified EPA refrigerant handlers, and only used in automotive application by MHVAC technitions.

Q: Hello out there! I have a 1989 Ford bronco with a busted driver side radius arm. Trying to find used one!?!?
It’s an aftermarket 42″ arm. Prefferably anybody in the imperial or Yuma valley’s who might know where to locate one as soon as possible would be greatly appreciated. I’m stranded for in the meantime. The bronco is full sized with a 351 cleaveland in it.
A: check auto parts in ebay.com
Q: I have a 1978 ford Bronco with a 1970 429. What should i use as far as parts for a full tune-up ?
Plugs, wires everything. I want more torque then speed !
A: A good tune up with everything and some tweaking of the carburetor,
to include setting up your total timing of the motor will get you the
most performance out of your 429 cid.
Q: Is getting a Ford Bronco worth 11 MPG?
I am really thinking about getting a Ford Bronco as my first vehicle, so is having a Ford Bronco worth the low MPG?
I would only use it to drive to school, during the week, the occasional walmart trip, and occasional offroading. So, is it worth it?
A: I have had several full size Broncos and all got better than 11 MPG. I liked everyone too
Q: I am replacing the head liner in 1978 Ford Bronco II. The insulation under the headliner was bad.?
I am replacing the head liner in my 1978 Ford Bronco II. The insulation under the headliner was bad. What can I use for insulation. I have heard you can use foam board type insulation sold at Home Depot.
I also need to know how thick the insulation must be or how can I take a measurement to determine the thickness of the insulation.
A: Most headliners are like yours. They are foam and material put on cardboard. I have never replaced one myself but have been told you can use 1/8 to 1/4 sheet of foam bought from any craft store. You could even buy from local upholstery shop. Clean your board and reuse it if in good shape. Glue foam to board using spray can. Then glue headliner to foam. Install headliner back into truck being careful not to stretch material too much. Check online under Ford truck parts to see if you can buy one already assembled. Good luck!
Q: By any chance does anyone know how many MPG an 89 ford bronco 2 gets?
I’ve got an 89 ford bronco 2 and the gas gage doesn’t work and i’ve been using the trip meter when i get gas and i try to gage by that but was hoping someone might know how many mpg this type of truck gets so i know for sure when i’m going to run out of gas!
A: your average on that one will be around 18-20 on it at the most, since the gage isn’t working on it id use a lower number though to go by,just use 16 miles to the gallon and you wont ever run out, that will keep you putting gas in it,when it needs it,you can probably have that repaired for a fair price ,you might want to check in to it later on,but for now just use 16 miles to the gallon as a guide, that should have the v-6 in it,and they did alright on gas,not the cheapest though, good luck with it.
