Q: How to change fuel pump on 1994 Ford Bronco?
I need to change the fuel pump on my 1994 Ford Bronco. I am confused. Where is the fuel pump located? Are there two fuel pumps? If there is two pumps. Which one should I change? I called the local stores like autozone and checker and they told me $130. But if I look online are ones for $65 such as the following.
http://broncograveyard.com/bronco/i-30257A_fuel_pump__33_gallon_bronco.htm
Please help. I am not sure what to order.

A: In a 94 Bronco you have one fuel pump located in the fuel tank (it is a high pressure pump, earlier models 85-90 used 2 pumps…a low pressure unit in the tank and a high pressure pump on the frame rail), to change it you drop the fuel tank, disconnect the lines and wiring connector, remove the lock ring and the pump and sender Assembly will lift out of the tank. Ford sells the pump and sender as a unit (which is why it is a little more expensive), some jobbers sell the pump and pick up as a partial unit and some sell just the pump itself….the main problem with buying just a pump is that NO ONE sells the connector seals that lock the pump to the pick up assembly and these are often damaged when removing the pump from the unit. I recommend the use of either the FORD complete pump and sender assembly or a pump and pick up assembly from the jobber stores.

Q: I need help with Lifts and Tires..!!!?
I just got a 79 ford bronco and i was trying to lift it with a suspension and body lift and am also trying to get new tires.
what is the cheapest most reliable online store for this?

A: Discount tires online.

Q: fuel efficient parts?
i have a 1990 ford bronco with 2 inches of lift on 33 inch tires, I’m currently getting around 14 miles to the gallon on the highway. i would like to know whats the best way to increase my mpg. i have been looking at several parts online but still unsure the best way to go. any input would be greatly appreciated

A: We have an ‘88 with the 351 inch Windsor, yeah they suck gas. The best thing to improve your mileage is to tie a helium balloon to the gas peddle so’s you don’t push it to hard. Good Luck !

Q: Building off-road vehicle, need engine and transmission, axles?
I have a 1990 Ford Bronco that is receiving a 6″ Rough Country suspension lift and 35″ tires. This is strictly and off road vehicle for a patch of land in the Northwest, and while it may see some on road use, its going to be used only a few times a year and when it is, it will be miles away from anything.

Problem: locating a decent engine, transmission, and some axles for the thing. I know of some shops willing to sell them to me, but none that will ship to my location out west and none that I really trust. I can find TONS of shops online willing to sell engines and transmissions but mostly they are performance pieces, not geared towards the off-road.

Anyone know of a good website (or shop with website and/or phone number and long distance shipping) that carries Ford engines, transmissions, and some good off road axles?
Note: I’d like to keep the engine fuel injected. When I’m 10 miles from the nearest tow, in the middle of the woods, I’d rather not accidentally get too sideways for a carb and flood it.

Sure, its more work up front but I’m willing to deal with that to save mounds of pain later. So if you were about to recommend your favorite classic engine website, sorry. The 5.4L engine and transmission in the new F-150s or the old 5L that was in the Bronco originally would be nice if anyone knows how to get them.
I need a place to BUY the parts, I already know what I’m looking for.

And btw, I don’t want to go with a huge steel diesel engine and big, overweight axles. This isn’t a rock crawler, and a real off road car saves on weight everywhere it can, keeping the weight as closely as possible to on the tires and wheels, not in a high center of gravity. All that just makes it unstable.

A: ah you need a 7.3 turbo international coupled to a six speed allison.and use rockwell deuce and a halfs.
